Introducing OMF Journal Club

I wanted to take a quick moment to highlight opportunities for you all to interact with some of us at OMF, and to share the list of our peer-reviewed publications produced to date in case you’ve missed them.

When it comes to sharing information about OMF’s research with you all, I am continually trying to improve the amount of information we share, the timeliness of sharing it, and the accessibility of the content. So to that end, I want to briefly introduce a new style of research communications that I plan on starting (on a trial basis) in 2026 when OMF publishes a research paper.

I’m calling this OMF Journal Club, and the basic idea is that when one of our centers publishes results from their research, I will host a live discussion about that paper. I’ll try to walk through the main ideas of the paper, the figures, and the implications for people with ME/CFS and Long COVID. So keep an eye out for the next research publication, which will include more information about how to join the first session of OMF Journal Club. I look forward to connecting with you in the new year!

So far in 2025, OMF researchers have published 15 peer-reviewed papers, ranging from computational analysis of patient-reported treatment outcomes, to molecular basis for precision medicine approaches, to the development of new potential diagnostic tools, and more. Have questions about OMF’s publications, other aspects of our research projects, or OMF as a whole?

On January 21 at 1:00pm ET, Linda Tannenbaum (CEO and Founder) and Danielle Meadows, PhD (VP of Research Programs & Operations) will host a webinar with the objective of answering your questions about OMF and its research. If you’d like to be a part of the conversation, you can submit your questions and register for the webinar “Inside OMF: Your Questions, Our Answers” below.

If you’re unable to join the session live, feel free to submit your questions and we will send a recording after the session.
