Suramin has broad pharmacological activity, including antiviral. Could this antiviral activity effective for CFS too (beyond antipurinergic action)? Could the two pharmacological activities be complementary? How are the autism investigations with suramin? News? Has Dr. Naviaux ever taken a pilot test with any CFS patient?
Do rituximab and cyclophosphamide have pharmacological activities similar to suramin (antiviral, antipurinergic, etc.)? I found no reference to antiviral activity for rituximab and cyclophosphamide. On the contrary, these drugs may decrease immunity and reactivate some viruses, including EBV. Can viral reactivation and / or decreased immunity in any way repair the immune system? Do any of these 3 drugs cross the blood-brain barrier?
